in between classes, I have something packed and ready to go. They aren't sexy, but they do the trick and are pretty palatable.
Mid-day
- 1/3c bag of mixed nuts
- sm apple
- 6oz turkey breast slices
Lunch
- 60z bag of snow peas
- 6.5 oz tuna sashimi
- 1/3c bag of mixed nuts
T - If you're hitting the calorie numbers you noted, you're more than fine there. Make sure you're hitting the g of protein / lb of bw. Also, make sure you're getting enough sleep, at least 8 hours, more if possible.
ReplyDeleteJust coming back from being that sick, don't overdo the gym, hit it hard when you're in, but make sure you're giving yourself recovery time, too. Beating yourself into the ground isn't going to help weight gain efforts. That's just a general comment, I don't know how much you've been getting in or what your doing outside of the box. Hang in there, the weight will come back.
thanks. yeah - recovery has been my mantra as of late. i like how alison ranks this on her blog so i may follow suit in some form. outside of the box, i train for mountaineering-specific things (rescue/safety training, ice climbing, versaclimber, weighted ropes courses, and sled pulling).
ReplyDeletecongrats on gaining 10lbs in the past 2 weeks of the challenge! are you playing with different timing, combinations, etc? are there particular foods you're eating more of?
absorption could be another factor - probiotics were suggested to help rebuild the stomach bacteria that the antibiotics i took probably killed off.
thanks again for the help!
